Extensive Reading Individual Project #2: A Different Ending

    Hello everyone! Welcome back to my blog. So, today I've got a theme for the second individual project: A Different Ending. I will give the summary of this story. Based on the story,  I will narate and make a different ending from the true story 👩.

    Today, I've read this story entitled Rapacini's Daughter from elementary level. This story written by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Also have 9 pages and 2,477 words. First I will give a summary of this story :).

    This story is about a young man named Giovanni. He left his home in Naples to study in Northtern Italy. He rented a small room on the top floor and ancient palace. He met an old woman when he was in the room. His window is small, but he can saw a large garden that had many plants and flowers. He often saw the window because he had never seen so many different plants and flowers that now he already knew the garden is Giacomo Rapacini's and his daughter, Beatrice. One day when Giovanni was looking out his window he saw an old man in a black cape walking in the garden. He walked carefully among the plants as if were walking among wild animals or poisonous snakes. A young woman came into the garden. Giovanni thought she was as beautiful as the purple flowers in marble case. Several weeks later Giovanni went to visit Pietro Baglioni who's a friend of his father. Prof. Baglioni said Rapacini chas createdmany terrible poisions. He has cured a very sick person but Rapachini's medicine also killed many people. Beatrice came out of the doorway entered the garden and walked along the plants. When she reached the purple plant she burled her face in its flowers and she's told to the flower to give a breath for her. Then the insect's bright wings stopped and it fell to the ground dead. Suddenly, she looked up to Giovanni's window. Giovanni picked up the flowers he had bought and threw them down to her. One day Giovanni went to the Rapicini's garden The plants all seemed wild and unnatural. Rapacini's daughter came into the garden and Giovanni apologized because coming into the garden without an invitation. While she spoke Giovanni noticed a perfume in the air around her. He realized that the perfume from those floers was like the perfume of  Beatrice's breath. Giovanni reached out to break off one of the purple flowers, but Beatrice gave a scream that when through his heart like a knife. Giovanni felt as if one of his hans was on fire in the morning. He looked down at his hand and there was a purple mark. Giovanni was not pleased to see his old friend (Prof. Baglioni). Prof. Baglioni put the little bottle on the table and left Giovanni's room. 

    Giovanni wanted to believe that Beatrice was a sweet and innocent girl. Prof. Baglioni's words had put doubts in his heart. A shock horror went through his body because the flowers he bought that morning were turning brown. Giovanni shouted Beatrice a monster then Beatrice cried. He was anger changed to sadness. He remembered the medicine that Prof. Baglion had given him. Beatrice drinks first. At the same moment Rapacini came out of his house and walked slowly toward them. Beatrice said weakly why she got terrible things. Rapacini replied his daughter about she's have power and she can defeat the strongest enemy with only her breath. Beatrice want to be loved not feared but it doesn't now. Then she dropped to the ground. She died at the feet of her father and Giovanni. The poison had been too much a part of the young woman. The medicine that destroyed the poison destroyed her as well.

    The ending in that story is very sad :(. Now, I will make the ending different. This ending based on my feeling. 

    Giovanni wanted to believe that Beatrice was a sweet and innocent girl. Prof. Baglioni's words had put in his heart because its about Beatrice. "Giovanni, I know you like her from your face and your feeling". Giovanni replied "of course, not just like but I love her". In his little heart he thought her too. Beatrice had a power and why can he love her. Yesterday when they are met in the garden, Giovanni shouted Beatrice about the power, "Beatrice, you are monster! Why are you broke my body like this and my flower were turning brown!". Beatrice replied  "I'm sorry Gio, I don't know what happened. Let me give you a big purple flower" said Beatrice. After that Gio came back to normal person. They are happy because Giovanni came back to a normal person. Then, they are walked around the garden. Many insects flew through the flowers. It was so wonderful. Giovanni told to Beatrice "Hey, you are beautiful today. Now, close your eyes. Don't cheat yea". He made a crown from branch. After that he put on her head. "You are so sweet, thank you" said Beatrice. 

    Everyday she wanted to broke her power. But, nothing happened because her power was from baby. She told her father why she got a power. "Father, why did you do this terrible to your own child? I want to be loved not feared". Her father replied "this because you can everything only with your breath, I don't want to lose you like I lost your mother". Beatrice cried and hugged him. Beatrice doesn't forget her mother because she was very kind and courage. Her mother was died when Beatrice 2 years old.  

    The next day, Giovanni found a medicine to broke her poisons at the largest mountain. He found that medicine with Prof. Baglioni. After that, he wanted to came back to his room. After that he saw Beatrice at the garden also he shouted "Beatrice look at this blue bottle, I have a medicine to broke your poison". He gave the medicine for her. She decided to drink. Suddenly her body jumped up and gave off a blue light. That miracles seen by Rapacini and Prof. Baglioni. Then she down on the ground. "My daughter, are you okay?" said her father. "I'm okay father, don't worry about me" replied Beatrice. "My poison was broken and I don't have poison again. Thank you Giovanni and Prof. Baglioni". Giovanni replied "you're welcome, it's for your own good and mine". They were happy and now they can touch both their hands.

    That was my ending based on my feelings ☺. When I've read I don't want sad ending but I made this ending different yeay. So, how about my ending? I hope Giovanni and Beatrice happily ever after 💖. Thank you for read my ending story, see you next time! 😉
